Introduction

PRINCE2 (Projects IN Controlled Environments) is a process-based approach for project management providing an easily tailored and scalable method for the management of all types of projects. PRINCE2 Officially launched in October 1996, PRINCE2 is the method used for planning and managing projects in the public and private sectors. The method is used for a wide variety and size of projects. PRINCE2 is universally accepted as best practice project management.

Agile could be seen as an umbrella for a collection of frameworks and techniques that enable project teams and individuals to work in a way that is typified by collaboration, prioritization, iterative and incremental delivery and timeboxing. There are several specific frameworks that can be classified as Agile methods such as: including Scrum, Kanban, Crystal and TDD.

PRINCE2 Agile will combine the flexibility and responsiveness of Agile with the defined governance of PRINCE2.
